Head of Plant Design Electrics and Automation (m/w/d)
YOU ACT
As Head of Plant Engineering Electrics and Automation Flat Products, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of innovative methods applying the latest technological approaches to the electrical engineering design of steelmaking plants in the field of rolling and strip processing lines.
For this purpose, a worldwide team is available to you with competence centers in Mönchengladbach and Hilchenbach. In total, you handle an annual budget in the 2-digit million range.
Your duties include:
- Personnel planning and development in the field of Plant Design EA for rolling mills and strip processing lines
- Global coordination with the worldwide teams
- Establishment and maintenance of a global execution network to manage volatile workloads
- Full budget responsibility for all projects in your area of responibility
- Contribution in the sales phase and responsible for defining a competitive design and cost estimation
- Planning and control of the project milestones and budgets
- Responsibility for compliance with requirements, guidelines, methods, processes and standards at all locations
- Value Engineering and standardization
- Quality assurance for all deliveries in your area
- Knowledge of various field bus systems such as Profinet, EtherCAT, IO-Link or others
- Experience in the field of 3D modeling of electrical equipment and cable routes in the 3D plant model, ideal in the environment of AVEVA E3D
- Administration and user experience with electrotechnical CAE tools such as COMOS, Intergraph SPE/SPI or similar as well as in the cabinet planning with Eplan and EEC
- Innovation for digital methods or AI in the associated processes to increase effectiveness of your team
- Familiar with IEC and VDE standards for electrical design and installations, NEC/UL knowledge round off your knowledge
YOU KNOW
You have a degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics or comparable vocational training or corresponding professional experience in the described environment of more than 10 years. Also important are:
